WHO WE ARE

Established in 2005, we are a small, distinctive, award-winning company specialising in kitchen and bathroom refurbishment across Surrey and West Sussex.

 

Prior to starting Thomson Properties, we had felt that there was a huge shortage of building companies offering anything beyond a certain level of service. Everything we now do is about challenging this status quo. Yes, we are passionate about fitting beautiful kitchens and bathrooms, however, we are just as passionate about how we do it and about the customer journey along the way.

 

Our consistent track record on Houzz, Google and Checkatrade demonstrates that we are trusted by hundreds of happy customers, and we are extremely proud to have earned several awards for outstanding customer service in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

BUDGET

We all know that property refurbishment can be expensive. So naturally, one of the biggest concerns for customers are the costs spiralling out of control…

You can be confident that the estimate we give you is accurate and you won’t pay a penny more unless you ask us to carry out additional work, or there are unforeseen issues that require our attention.

Where unforeseen issues do arise we will inform you immediately. We will then only proceed with the remedial works when given the go ahead and we will keep you updated regarding any additional costs every step of the way.

All of our rates are clearly outlined in our terms and conditions.

TIME

We understand that having contractors in your home can feel intrusive and uncomfortable. So, of course, another big concern is how long the project will take…

We will discuss a schedule of works with you so that you can see how long the project will take and follow the phases throughout the process.

COMPETENCE

We are acutely aware of the bad name builders have been tarnished with over the years, therefore it is only natural that customers will be fearful of being taken advantage of by “cowboy builders”

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We find that customers often worry about having a negative experience with companies in our trade and on one of our projects, we witnessed first-hand how an elderly gentleman and his visually impaired wife had been mistreated by a rogue plumber. We came away from their home feeling challenged to help people in similar situations. As a result, our team has created a fund to which we make a small set donation for every kitchen and bathroom that we install. If you know of someone who you think would be a worthy recipient, please contact us as we’d love to consider using this fund, our skill or our contacts to help them. This experience has also driven our commitment to ensuring exceptional customer service is at the heart of everything we do.

We believe in doing our bit to make a difference in our community and we love to use what we have gained to help or support others both locally and beyond. We are currently supporting two charities that are close to our hearts, ZANE (Zimbabwe A National Emergency) and Chestnut Tree House (children’s hospice care in West Sussex).
